We’re excited to welcome three new team members to Community Foundation Sonoma County, each bringing deep experience, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to this place we call home.
Across different roles and perspectives, they have something important in common: a focus on connection. Whether it’s building partnerships, working alongside donors, or strengthening the systems behind the scenes, each of them is here to help bring people and resources together in ways that support stronger nonprofits and a more connected Sonoma County.
As our work continues to grow across Sonoma County, so does our team. Each of them brings a strong commitment to community and a shared belief in what’s possible when we come together. We’re so glad they’re here, and we’re looking forward to all that we’ll build alongside them. Learn more about each of them below.
Jeanette Pantoja – Community Partnerships Lead
We’re pleased to welcome Jeanette to Community Foundation Sonoma County as our new Community Partnerships Lead.
Jeanette brings more than a decade of experience in coalition building and community impact work. Most recently, she served as Director of Sonoma County COAD, where she cultivated and coordinated a network of more than 70 community-based organizations working together on disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. Her work brings people together across sectors, disciplines, and lived experiences to build stronger, more connected communities.
At CFSC, Jeanette is excited to deepen relationships with organizations across Sonoma County. She brings a strong belief that philanthropy works best when it is rooted in trust, deep listening, and collaboration. Too often, grantmaking can feel transactional. Jeanette is committed to something different: building meaningful, ongoing relationships with nonprofit partners and creating space for shared learning, connection, and collective impact.
Her approach is grounded in what she describes as iterative change—listening closely, piloting ideas, learning, and refining along the way. Over time, she believes this leads to responsive, community-led solutions and lasting impact.
Outside of work, Jeanette loves the foods, sounds, and landscapes of Sonoma County—especially its beauty in the spring. She values raising her family in a place rich in culture, community, and connection.

Christine Walker – Senior Philanthropic Advisor
We’re pleased to welcome Christine to Community Foundation Sonoma County as our new Senior Philanthropic Advisor.
With over 15 years of nonprofit fundraising and community-building experience, Christine joins us most recently from Point Blue Conservation Science, where she worked on the philanthropy team connecting caring people to impactful, science-based solutions. She sees her role as a bridge—bringing people together to support meaningful change. At CFSC, she’s excited to expand where that bridge can lead, connecting donors to a wide range of opportunities to make a difference across Sonoma County.
A central theme in Christine’s work is collective impact. She is drawn to the intersections—where environmental stewardship meets equity, and where human needs and community wellbeing are deeply connected. She believes that when we work together, we can do more good than any one effort alone.
Christine is especially energized by the opportunity to focus locally, where impact is tangible and visible. She values the ability to look around her community and see the difference we can make, whether that’s supporting healthy ecosystems, strong nonprofits, or thriving neighborhoods.
Outside of work, Christine enjoys hiking with her dog, Flea, and spending time with friends and family. She loves the sense of community and spacious beauty in Sonoma County—being able to step outside her door onto a trail or head out to the coast and Bodega Bay.

John Kenyon – Lead Technologist
The Community Foundation is pleased to welcome John Kenyon as our new Lead Technologist. John brings with him decades of experience at the intersection of technology and social impact. He moved to the Bay Area in the late 1980s and found a natural home in Sonoma County, a place that reminds him of his upbringing on the East Coast, surrounded by orchards and rural landscapes.
He values living in a diverse, connected community, and especially enjoys being close to the coast, where he can walk his dog, Julie, on the beach. John is deeply engaged locally, volunteering, teaching, and consulting with organizations and institutions across Sonoma County. A fellow foodie with interests in art and the environment, he shares our team’s commitment to improving the communities we serve.
John believes technology is most powerful when it’s in service of something bigger than itself. At the Foundation, he focuses improving our ability to support nonprofits and donors doing critical work across Sonoma County.
He’s especially drawn to the opportunity to amplify impact, bringing together technology, funders, and a network of organizations to achieve more collectively than any one organization can alone. He’s looking forward to strengthening capacity across the Foundation and its partners, using technology as a tool to better serve the community he calls home.
