$525,000 Available to Strengthen Sonoma County Nonprofits: Resilient Organizations Grant Opens August 10

Strong communities rely on strong, adaptable nonprofits. Yet traditional funding often focuses solely on short-term direct services, leaving organizations with little room to innovate, address operational challenges, or plan for long-term stability.

To help nonprofits adapt to these changes, Sonoma Community Foundation is pleased to partner with the County of Sonoma for a second year to offer $525,000 in grant funding through the Resilient Organizations program.

This initiative is a direct reinvestment in the vital nonprofits that form our local safety net, ensuring essential community services remain reliable, adaptable, and strong for years to come.

What is the Resilient Organizations Program?

The Resilient Organizations program provides targeted training and grant funding designed to give local nonprofits the space, resources, and capacity to adapt, innovate, and navigate operational complexities.

In addition to free training opportunities, individual grant awards will range from $25,000 to $75,000. Funding is designed to support:

  • Strategic operational adaptations

  • Sustained collaborations and shared resources

  • Innovations that protect the longevity of vital local services

By investing directly in organizational durability, we aim to help local organizations build lasting resilience.
