Congratulations Jackson Family Wines and Katie Jackson!
Jackson Family Wines will be honored by the Sonoma County Harvest Fair for their innovative work and advocacy to create a sustainable grape-growing region by 2019. The inaugural award highlights the long-termed approach to ensuring that the land is productive and healthy for years to come.
Long-term sustainability utilizes all aspects of grape-growing and winemaking, including technological advancements and experimentation, water conservation, financial incentives, and community outreach to engage multi-generations of growers in the process. Katie serves as Director of Sustainability and Community Outreach for Jackson Family Wines and is a board member of Community Foundation Sonoma County.
