Abby Torrez

If you’ve come by our office this past month, you might have seen a new face welcoming you at our front desk. We are delighted to welcome Abby “Tiny” Torrez to our team as our new administrative assistant. Tiny recently graduated from Sonoma State University with degrees in Spanish and Psychology, and was so happy to find a job near her home in Rohnert Park. Born in Mexico City and raised in the Bay Area, Tiny is a first generation college student who credits her parents for inspiring her work ethic and dedication in working through school.

In addition to her full class schedule, Tiny worked on campus at the SSU Dream Center, a safe haven for undocumented students navigating college for the first time. As an intern, Tiny helped to build a community that supported undocumented students emotionally and financially through connections to scholarships and legal support.

In her first month at CFSC, Tiny has proved invaluable in welcoming our visitors and answering calls about philanthropy and giving. Tiny loves getting to see the generosity of our community. “When I started working here, I was so in awe of the generosity and kindness of our donors. Everyone I’ve talked to is so humble and kind-hearted. It’s remarkable.”

Please join us in welcoming Tiny!
