CFSC Staff Appreciation Time!

Ariana always knew that her career goals would be centered around social work. However, after being exposed to the emotionally heavy and intense work that goes into social work, Ariana switched paths and developed a love and passion for policy, which helps provide social workers with resources. Community Foundation Sonoma County being a nonprofit that provides funding to hundreds of organizations, is happy to have Ariana’s passion on the team.

Ariana’s role as the Senior Community Impact Officer allows her to develop relationships with nonprofits, assist with grants and gives her the chance to provide opportunities to people of color. Ariana has helped lead the organization’s internship program, helping young students of color gain experience in the nonprofit world.

Ariana joins us from Sonoma State University where she held several positions, most recently Data Analyst, and where she also received her Master’s in Public Administration. Ariana previously attended CSU Long Beach for a BA in Social Work where she was originally exposed to the power of advocacy and the importance of empowering the disadvantaged in order to create a better community for all. Her education provided her with a foundation in social justice that today motivates her to seek representation for the voiceless and fuels her on-going community involvement.

Ariana enjoys exploring scenic hiking trails, spending time with family and attending a variety of community events. She recently discovered a love for gardening which serves as an outlet for her to express her creativity.
