Sonoma Valley Fund – Creating Bridges
The mission of the Sonoma Valley Fund (SVF) is to strengthen its community through philanthropy and legacy giving. It is the bridge between donors and the nonprofit organizations they support, ensuring the prudent investment of funds and the achievement of legacy gift objectives. The SVF Grants Committee manages local grant programs that directly benefit Sonoma Valley residents. SVF has a wide variety of funds established by donors and nonprofit organizations to serve their philanthropic goals.
Donors giving through the Sonoma Valley Fund can make a significant impact in the Sonoma Valley by choosing from a variety of creative giving vehicles tailored to meet individualized interests and objectives. Nonprofit organizations benefit from SVF’s ability to support new legacy gifts to support their programs and projects, providing flexibility and responsiveness to changing local needs.
An Affiliate of the Community Foundation
The Sonoma Valley Fund is our second affiliate. Community-based affiliate organizations are the perfect bridge to bring our services into defined geographic areas of Sonoma County. Each affiliate operates in a specific sub-area, with board members and donors from that community and its own competitive grantmaking. Affiliates benefit from our broad resources, including a comprehensive investment program, professional staff services, grantmaking expertise, legal knowledge and administrative support.
