The Issue:
Thousands of artists and more than 120 performing arts companies make their homes and livelihoods here. Sonoma’s thriving arts community is a significant tourism draw and key economic driver for our county, yet too often artists struggle to engage new and diverse audiences who may not have opportunities to experience the arts.
The Grant Program:
Community Foundation Sonoma County’s Small Grants for the Arts program enables Sonoma County artists and arts organizations to explore innovative ways of expanding participation and engagement in the arts. Particular emphasis goes to projects that engage new audiences limited by geography, ethnicity, economics or disability. Funding may be used for:

The maximum amount of a Small Grant for the Arts is $2,500.

How to Apply
In 2016, we will focus our arts grantmaking on arts education and will not run the Small Grants for the Arts program.
