There are many advantages to establishing on organization fund and the process is simple. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your goals and objectives and describe our fee structure and our services, including investment management. Organization Funds can be either endowed or expendable. We offer two options:
Agency Funds are created by nonprofit organizations. You choose from four investment pools depending on your objectives; funds may be split between pools. Your nonprofit then makes grant recommendations from its fund to support o-going operations, special projects or any other charitable purpose sanctioned by your Board of Directors. All grants are recommended for final approval by the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Designated Funds are created by individual donors to support one or more specific nonprofit organization. This is done during a donor’s lifetime or through their estate plans or both. These funds are typically established as endowment funds to preserve the principal and are invested in the long-term investment pool to ensure a permanent source of support.
Fees for organizational funds are assessed monthly, based on your fund balance. This covers expenses associated with the management of your fund. Your partnership supports our work in many local arenas, resulting in greater community impact throughout Sonoma County.
