We are inviting you to attend a mapping session hosted by the Healthcare Foundation and several other funders in our region, including Healdsburg Forever. It is important that we get information about nonprofits that are providing services to the residents of northern Santa Rosa to Cloverdale and beyond – “northern Sonoma County” – and we’ve developed these interactive mapping sessions as a way to do that.
What is it? The mapping session is facilitated, interactive couple of hours together where service providers share their services and programs, audiences they serve, gaps they see in the needs of those audiences, and the resources available that might be rented or shared with other nonprofits, such as underutilized buildings, staff, talents, vehicles, etc.
Why are we doing it? Because the Healthcare Foundation, Healdsburg Forever, Sonoma County and the cities of Windsor, Healdsburg and Cloverdale, along with the Santa Rosa Partnership for Violence Prevention, United Way of the Wine Country and other funders want to understand what services are present in this area of the county and understand the gaps in services for which future funding might make a difference.
Who should attend? Organizations who are based in North Sonoma County or do significant work in the area are invited to participate. Preferably the ED/CEO would attend, or a senior representative who can speaker for your agency and has great knowledge about all the areas we mentioned we are covering.
Where are the sessions? You only need to attend one – and there are four to choose from – one each in Healdsburg, Windsor, Cloverdale and Geyserville.
How do I prepare? Bring a stack of business cards and if you have an agency brochure, bring a couple of those, too. Otherwise, there is nothing else to do except RSVP to email@example.com or 707-473-0583 to let the Healthcare Foundation which session you want to attend.
We really appreciate you making every effort to attend one of these sessions as this information is very important. By the way, the Healthcare Foundation will share a report and a list of resources identified through the mapping project with all the attendees, the funders and others in the community that can use the information, so the project will have a greater benefit, too.
