Grants for Ending Family Homelessness
Application Process and Due Date:
- Organizations wishing to submit a proposal (other than renewals)
should call Robert Judd at 579-4073 x 15 to discuss their project before
submitting an application.
- Applications are due at the Community Foundation by February 20, 2007
- NOTE: The period covered by EFH grants is changing in 2007: Current
EFH grantees applying for renewal grants should assume a grant period
starting September 1, 2007 and ending June 30 of 2008.
Ending Family Homelessness Grant Criteria:
- Grants of up to $30,000 over one year are available to organizations
proposing projects to serve mothers with young children who either have
experienced homelessness or who are at high risk for becoming homeless and
for whom a program of long-term transitional services will enable the family
to permanently end its homelessness.
- Projects for homeless mothers should address the transitional phase
of recovery from homelessness and have ending homelessness as their primary
outcome. Examples of programs meeting these criteria include those providing
stable housing coupled with long-term support services, such as transitional
housing programs and service-enriched shared housing programs.
- EFH grants are not intended to support services that are part of the
emergency or shelter phase of services.
Ending Family Homelessness Grant awards will be announced in May. For new
grantees, the grant period will be from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.
