The Community Foundation charges each component fund quarterly for a total fee of 1.75% of the balance per year.
* This fee covers:
Tackling pressing community needs or important civic issues through convening
community leaders and targeted initiatives
Attracting funds from larger private foundations and other outside sources
Customized fund design
Planned gift consultation & services (personalized illustrations available)
Investment/asset management services (quarterly fund statements, monitoring investment
performance, etc.)
Administrative services (IRS reporting, acknowledgement of gifts for tax purposes)
Fund publicity/promotion (if desired)
Donor Services including
- One-on-one (or family) sessions to help create a social investment strategy or simply refine your giving approach for maximum impact
- Partners in Philanthropy Program—providing donors with quality grant proposals from nonprofit programs that match your stated interests
- Ability to give anonymously
- Due diligence on all grant recommendations
- Panel discussions with local experts on important community issues
- Site visits to local charitable projects and programs
- Annual Celebration event for donors, board members and local leaders
- Models & Mentors event recognizing outstanding donors, volunteers and grantees
- New giving opportunities (venture philanthropy and special projects)
*Exception: Funds that are invested in our Money Market Investment Option are no fee/no return.
