Program Officer for Arts and Education

Karin Demarest

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Karin Demarest as the Community Foundation’s new Program Officer for Arts and Education.  Chosen from a field of more than 40 applicants, Karin has been working as an independent consultant, mentoring and supervising teams from 12 counties throughout California to build a Local Advocacy Network to promote equitable access to arts education. She has coordinated education programs for the Arts Council of Sonoma County, convened the local arts education alliance and has worked with most of our local arts organizations around arts education issues.
